Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated September 1, 2026
Scope
This policy applies to everyone who uses ViolationPulse. It exists because the platform handles public government records and sends commercial email on customers' behalf — two areas where misuse causes real harm.
Prohibited conduct
- Impersonating OSHA, the U.S. Department of Labor or any government agency, or implying government affiliation, authority or endorsement.
- Sending deceptive commercial email, including misleading subject lines, false sender identities or inaccurate reply addresses.
- Ignoring, delaying or circumventing opt-out requests.
- Sending commercial messages to personal consumer addresses in violation of applicable law.
- Circumventing suppression lists, bounce handling or sending limits.
- Misrepresenting the content, status or finality of public enforcement records.
- Presenting ViolationPulse analysis, including Opportunity Scores, as official government findings.
- Using the platform for unlawful discrimination.
- Using the platform to make underwriting, insurance eligibility or pricing decisions.
- Transmitting unlawful, harassing or fraudulent content.
- Reselling or redistributing data in violation of any applicable provider terms.
Commercial email requirements
Every commercial message sent through ViolationPulse must carry accurate sender identification, a non-deceptive subject line, a valid physical postal address and a functioning opt-out mechanism. Opt-out requests must be honored promptly. These elements are enforced by the platform and cannot be disabled.
Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this policy. Where a violation risks harm to recipients or to the integrity of public records, we may act without prior notice.
