Source of the data
ViolationPulse presents information derived from public enforcement records: those the U.S. Department of Labor publishes for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Mine Safety and Health Administration, EPA's Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO), and the U.S. Department of Transportation's open data for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. This product uses the DOL Data API but is not endorsed or certified by the DOL.
No affiliation or endorsement
ViolationPulse is an independent software platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OSHA, MSHA, EPA, FMCSA, the U.S. Department of Labor or the U.S. Department of Transportation. We do not use government names, seals or logos in a way that suggests endorsement, and we make no claim to act on behalf of any agency.
Records change
Enforcement records are not final at the moment of publication. Cases may be corrected, contested, reduced, reclassified or closed after they first appear. Penalty amounts shown may differ from amounts ultimately assessed or paid.
ViolationPulse retains the versions it receives and surfaces changes. Where a record is open or contested, we present it as such. Users should consult the official record before relying on any figure.
Publication timing
Records appear in the public data some time after the underlying event. ViolationPulse distinguishes between the date carried by the government record and the date we first observed it, and does not represent an older event as newly occurring.
Our analysis is not government data
Opportunity Scores, service category matching, summaries, company and contact enrichment and all pipeline information are produced by ViolationPulse. They are not OSHA determinations, ratings or findings, and must not be presented as such.
What ViolationPulse does not provide
ViolationPulse does not provide legal advice, compliance certification, official OSHA determinations, or underwriting decisions. Nothing in the product constitutes a professional opinion about any employer's compliance status.
